‘Violent storm hits us at anchor in Corsica’ – Ch.23

On the 18th August 2022, a violent storm hit Corsica. It was 7am in the morning, we were at anchor in Porto Pollo and experienced 60kts of wind. The most wind either of us have ever experienced at sea. Thankfully Caladh and crew were ok, but the aftermath was uncomfortable and even more so when we learned of the full impact. This was a sobering reminder not to rush through life, but nonetheless we were glad to finally be in France (Corsica) and on track to make Kath’s brother’s wedding.
